Peter Fletcher: classical guitarist

Enjoy the subtle virtuosity of this award-winning classical guitarist and veteran of numerous TV and radio appearances. Originally from Atlanta, Peter Fletcher made his formal debut at the age of 15, has studied with several guitar masters and holds a graduate degree from the Eastman School of Music.  In demand as a recitalist from New York to California, his playing has been described as “utterly magnificent” and “first rate solo guitar work.” His “dazzling” discography includes four critically acclaimed CDs (for Centaur Records) and showcases Fletcher’s “unique mastery of dynamics” and “shimmering technique.” In February 2007, Mr. Fletcher made his New York Debut at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and will appear there again in 2008. At First Night, he’ll perform works by Bach, Handel, Koshkin, Weiss, Crespo, Laura, Tarrega and Albeniz.
