BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Board Members serve a three-year term and work year-round supporting the mission of First Night® Morris County. They are expected to regularly attend meetings, serve actively on a Board Committee, and financially support First Night® Morris County through an annual membership contribution.

Debra Williams   
Current Role: Fundraising Chair
About Me: Debbie served as Chairman of First Night® Morris County for the past three years, previously serving as head of the admission sales committee.  As chairman, she oversees the largest First Night® celebration in the State of New Jersey and is responsible for helping to ensure that fundraising goals are met each year and that the event continues to exceed all expectations.  A volunteer position, First Night chair affords Debbie the opportunity to lead an organization in support of the visual and performing arts, her lifetime passion, and to work closely with the esteemed Arts Council of the Morris Area to produce a world-class program year after year.

A 2007 graduate of Leadership Morris, Debbie is involved in numerous activities to better her community.  However, her professional home for the past 29 years has been AAA New Jersey Automobile Club, where she began her tenure in accounting and purchasing and has served as the manager of Human Resources for the past 25 years.

A lifelong resident of Roxbury Township, Debbie lives in Succasunna with her husband Jerry, an attorney who practiced in Morristown, and her two daughters.  Debbie’s older daughter is a dance major at Rutgers’ prestigious Mason Gross School of the Arts and her younger daughter is now a senior at Roxbury High School.
